SPARROWSONG.
The Basics
Name: Sparrowsong.
Gender: She cat.
Rank: Warrior.
Clan: Tree.
Reason For Name:
Sparrowkit, for her white and brown coat, the same colors of the white-throat sparrow. Sparrowpaw as an apprentice. Sparrowsong, for her bird chirp like meow.
The Looks
Slender white and brown she cat with long legs and light green eyes.
Eyes: Green.
Pelt Color:
Short, white base with brownish-gray patches and spots.
Build:
Sparrowsong is a small cat, slender and light on her paws. She has long legs, making it easy to climb and jump.
The Behaviors
Flirtatious and confident, with a hint of vulnerability.
Positives:
Sparrowsong is a confident cat, which spares her of always second guessing herself which she finds causes more mistakes than simply being sure of yourself. She is comfortable in her skin, in her abilities, and she feels that this makes her a better warrior.
She is a very capable hunter, birds being her specialty. She enjoys the closeness of hunting parties, and also enjoys the part where she gets to show off.
She doesn't care about power. She never wants to have the pressure of being a high ranking cat, she just wants the pride and fame for being a brilliant bird hunter. This makes her completely happy where she is, as a warrior, which makes her so much less power hungry and evil than some warriors turn out to be.
Negatives:
Sparrowsong is entirely too vain for her own good. She's higher than thou, and don't you forget it. She cats? She doesn't bother with them, and she knows they don't like her. Toms? Easier to get along with, she knows she is pretty, and she uses it to tease her male friends.
Fighting is not her forte. She's all quick tongued and hateful words, but when it comes to a real battle, she'll charm her way out of it or run.
Sparrowsong has an issue with trusting others much too easily, but she doesn't realize it. I'm afraid that this will lead to many issues in the future.
Likes:
Sunning herself, hunting in patrols, the companionship of toms, having work to do, and her preference of trees over ground.
Dislikes:
Most she cats, clan battle, being unneeded, any physical confrontation, hunting squirrels.
The Past
Mother: Bristleleaf | warrior | alive
Father: Lionsoul | warrior | alive
Siblings: Lynxheart | warrior | alive
History:
Bristleleaf and her long time mate, Lionsoul, were an old pair. They had a previous litter, those kits warriors by the time the decided to have a second. Their jobs as warriors and mentors had always been more important, so one could say that much would be expected out of these two respected cats and their kits. Sparrowkit and her sister, Lynxkit, were born in the middle of the warmest month, when prey was plentiful and the clans were at peace with one another. Like any kits, they got into trouble together, but their stern parents and above average expectations quickly snuffed out their childhoods. Even before they were apprentices, Lionsoul would teach them battle moves while Bristleleaf told them stories about patrols she had been on that were memorable or had life lessons in her eyes.
When they were apprenticed, Lynxkit had a growth spurt. She was still small, but more stocky now, easily overpowering Sparrowpaw when they had battle training together. Fighting wasn't what she wanted to do though, and so she didn't mind much. Her mother had told her about her love of hunting, of being able to block out the world and focus on just one thing, of being appreciated. Hunting is what her mentor training her in the most, still forcing her to train for battle though. It even occurred to her to train as a medicine cat, but Sparrowpaw knew that she would never be happy being confined to one area of camp for most of the day.
As she trained, something inside of her clicked. Something, well, someone, threw a switch, and as an apprentice she became snobby. She didn't get along with the other she cats she shared a tree with, and they fought often with words and hateful stares, whispers under their breath. This is when she began to distance herself from females, finding security in other toms. She was a good hunter, and showed off her skills to get acceptance and some sort of respect. It was only natural to take on a flirtatious side, which simply made the other she cats dislike her more, pushing her farther away.
As a warrior, Sparrowsong has had very little to do with other she cats. Lynxheart didn't come to her rescue as apprentices, so she doesn't speak much to her. Her parents are elders, and they look down on her for being such an opinionated, hard to get along with cat, so she doesn't visit them very much. They were never overly kind to her, never showed their love in any way other than teaching her how to be a warrior. She is content to hunt for her clan and share tongues with her friends, so long as she doesn't have to deal with she cats often.
